Bacon Rind Fire

The Bacon Rind Fire was just across the highway that makes up the western edge of Yellowstone. It was small when we approached it, but several nearby trailheads had been closed as a precaution. When we arrived to the one we had been rerouted to, a park police officer greeted us and radioed to get us a ride to where we needed on the other side of the fire. By far, the easiest fire reroute we’ve ever had!
