Last Push

We got hit by snow again after exiting Crater Lake, and hit up Bend to resupply. We learned about an upcoming storm that threatened highs in the 30s and over six inches of snow. After much group discussion, we decided to hold up in the small town of Chemult and head back out after the storm passed.

We knew it would be rough once we got back out, but I don’t think any of us appreciated how difficult fighting fresh snow for every footstep was going to be.

This would end up being our final section. Fortunately, we got to enjoy a great view or Mount Theilson and our last beers packed out from town. (October 14, 2017)
