A Timber Rattlesnake along the trail in Shenandoah National Park. We’ve run into grew so far. They like to sun themselves on the trail, and then then coil up and rattle when you get near. It’s actually great they give you a warning before biting. Usually, we try to to poke them off the trail with a stick to spare future hikers. (May 26, 2015)
