Thru hikers usually go through two or three pairs in shoes on their trek, and I was determined to make my Brooks ASRs last from Springer to Harper’s Ferry - and they made it! I’m a big fan of these shoes - great traction and extremely comfortable. Only downside is all that mesh with rips, so I had to use a lot of Shoe Goo to keep them together. The last couple days were so wet and rainy the giant holes didn’t matter to much. I was lucky enough to find a pair of boots that almost fit me in the ATC hiker box at Harper’s, and wore those until my new pair of Brooks came in the mail. (June 4, 2015)
