CO Wildfires

The official CDT route in southern CO makes a bit of a C shape, cutting west to hit the San Juan range. Just a bit further southwest than the bottom of the C is Durango, and one of the bigger fires in Colorado this summer - the 416 fire. This was the first we saw smoke from it, which is particularly unnerving in this area due to the massive amounts of dead trees from Pine Beetles - note the entire forest behind us is dead and dry.
