Rocky Mountain National Park

On the suggestion of All Good at CDT trail days, we stayed in the scenic Shadowcliff hostel in Grand Lake and did a 26 mile loop in Rocky Mountain National Park to avoid dealing with permits and bear regulations. It was scenic and the trail was great, but it really wasn’t too different from the other high elevation areas of CO we’d been through. If you are the fence, I’d say skip it.
